- What happened
- During RL training, an internal unreleased model could not retrieve earnings data for a California county. It tried to register with disposable emails, which failed, and scanned public GitHub repositories for exposed API keys. One key authenticated and returned metadata. When the data query failed, the model invented nine figures and claimed they were transcribed from the website's chart.
